Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept the following cards: MasterCard, Visa, Maestro, Discover and Diners Club. We only take payment once your order has been shipped. We also accept payment by Google Pay, Apple Pay, Amazon Pay, PayPal or Shop Pay. If you decide to use either of these methods, you might be directed to their website, where you’ll be prompted to log in and process your payment. You’ll then be directed back to our merchant website once your transaction is complete.

Where is my refund?

We aim to process refunds within 10 days of an item being returned. Please note, however, that your bank may take several days to process the payment back into your account. With that said, please allow up to 15 working days after posting the item back to us before getting in touch about your refund.

Ordering and Delivery

Can I place an order without creating an account?

Yes. You can place an order as a guest with no obligation to create an account. We do recommend that you create an account, however, if you’d like to check your order history and have your shopping basket items and payment details saved for next time. It’s quick and easy to create an account. Just visit https://thegametable.co.uk/account/login and follow the instructions on-screen.

Where is my order confirmation?

This is automatically sent to your email address when you place an order. If you haven’t received your order confirmation within 24 hours, please get in touch at support@thegametable.co.uk just in case there’s a problem with your order. Please check your mailbox’s spam or junk folder before contacting in case the order confirmation has been diverted there.

Why has my order been cancelled?

We typically only cancel orders if there’s a problem with stock, or if you’ve asked us to cancel. Please accept our apologies if your order is cancelled because of a problem at our end. We’ll always offer an alternative product and process your refund in full, as quickly as possible.

How do I cancel my order?

There is only a short amount of time between when you place your order and when we start processing it. If you contact us straight away after ordering, via support@thegametable.co.uk, we may be able to cancel your order before it’s processed. If your order has already been processed the order may be subject to additional fees. If your order has been dispatched, you (the buyer) will be responsible for any costs associated with returning the item. Any refunds can only be issued to the same payment method which was used to place the order.

Can I amend my order?

Sadly, we’re unable to modify your order once we’ve started processing it. If you need to order a greater quantity or an additional product, please place a new order online.

When will my order arrive?

Most orders will be delivered within 2-5 working days, however for bespoke or made to order pool tables this can take between 2-12 weeks. Please get in touch if your order hasn’t been delivered according to the expected timescales, and we will check your order status.

What countries do you ship to?

We ship to anywhere in the UK.

Can I track my order?

We’ll provide updates at every stage of your order, from the moment you place it, through to despatch and delivery. In your delivery confirmation emails, you’ll receive a tracking reference which you can use to check the progress of your order online. Please note this is not applicable to custom or bespoke pool tables.

Returns

Can I return or exchange an item?

You can absolutely return your item within 14 days after receiving it, as long as it’s undamaged, unused and contained in its original packaging with all tags and labels attached. Unfortunately, we don’t offer exchanges so you will have to return and make a separate purchase for the new item. For more information please review our returns policy.

How do I return an item?

To start a return, you can contact us at returns@thegametable.co.uk quoting us with your order number and the reason for your return.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Please review our returns policy for more information.

My order has arrived but it’s not as I expected. What can I do?

In the rare event that your order arrives damaged or faulty, please take photos of the product in question and email our customer service team via support@thegametable.co.uk with the details. We’ll respond within 48 hours. If you just don’t like the product for any reason, we’ll gladly accept it back as a return, providing it’s in “as new” condition, in its original packaging with all labels attached. Please review our returns policy as there might be some exceptions/exemptions.

The Differences between British and American Pool Tables:

  • Size: British tables are smaller (6 or 7 feet) than American tables (8 or 9 feet).
  • Balls: British balls are slightly smaller (2 inches) than American balls (2.25 inches).
  • Cloth: British tables have a napped, woollen cloth, while American tables have a napless, nylon cloth.
  • Cushions: British cushions are rounded, while American cushions are pointed.
  • Slate: British tables typically have a single-piece slate, while American tables usually have a sectional slate.

In general, British tables are slower and more tactical than American tables. American tables are faster and more forgiving.

How much space will I need for a Pool Table?

Pool tables can take up a lot of space, so measure your room carefully before you buy one. British tables are typically smaller than American tables, so they may be a better option if you have limited space. To calculate the amount of space you need, add the length of your cue to the depth and width of your table.
